Perry Monument Flagpoles & Interpretive Panels

Erie architect, Ed Kern, helped design and create an entrance and pathway for park visitors to view the Perry Monument. As a result of his work, ten educational panels, a flagpole display and donation pavers were installed on the walkway leading to the monument. The educational panels tell stories of Oliver Hazard Perry, Building of the Fleet, the Battle of Lake Erie and the winter at Misery Bay.
